21 December 2012 : Doomsday

A friend from school pointed this out to me when i was fucking bored. It is said by several oracles, being the mayans ( Who created a calendar that can predict lunar eclipses 1000's of years in advance and notorious for predicting the year, month and day that the spanish conquistadores invaded south africa) numerous oracles in ancient times and a computer program that has predicted the napalm attakcs among others.

What i'd like to hear are your thoughts. I'm posting a documentary that was shown on the History channel (srry for subs) it's about an hour, but is really interesting.

2 years back, scientists predicted that a comet would hit the earth in a matter of months, it would kill us all. The comet went past the earth, and as you probably realize, we are all still alive.

I hope this will be the same kind of thing. Although it's incredible that they all predict the same date, some of these were very wise people, I just hope they are wrong about this one thing.

Meh, only the inca's sound convincing, since they've predicted their own demise a couple hundred years in advance. The other oracles are a bit more shady though. They dont predict exact dates, mostly just 'around the year 2000'. And that the computer program found this one is not that odd, since a lot of sites are dedicated to this kind of stuff (since it's eminent and stuff) But that prediction scares me the most. That Chinese Oracle oracle also scares the bajeezus out of me, since chinese people have some scary mojo...

Let's hope they're wrong...

As far as i know, the year 2012 is just the end of the mayan calander, so it's not "the end of times" its just a restart.
In the year 2012 the aquarius era starts as far as i know.

The aquarius era? What does that mean? And did you watch the links? Because it holds a lot of other interesting views on this subject that might make you look at it from another perspective. The mayans didn't just end their calendar on 2012, they also stated why. Go watch. And if you did, watch again. You obviously haven't been paying attention

An astrological age is a time period in astrology which is believed by some to parallel major changes in the Earth's inhabitants' development. It roughly corresponds to the time taken for the vernal equinox to move through one of the twelve constellations of the zodiac.

The age of Pisces is the present time, we are "nearing" the age of Aquarius, which will happen around 2600.

Can't really call that close xd

It is pretty close, considering an new age start every 2156 years.

A Mayan priest had this to say about the whole thing:
