Atheism a religion?

Do you think that Atheisme is a religion? Post you reply's, i'd love to hear your opinions

Atheism on it's own is not a religion; it does not have rules, rituals and so forth. But there are religions out there (Buddhism, Satanism, etc) that don't belief in a god. Those religions are called Atheistic religions. (Or non-theistic religions)

Those are devil-worshippers, not Satanists. And they are very rare, practically no one worships the devil.

and if you worship satan you believe that there is a god too

but what do satanists do believe in?!
satans name doesnt come forth in it for nothing.
and mostly of the satanists are against christianity,
against the christian God,
and still they have rituals,
offering childs and all that kind of shit,
what do they believe in?

I don't know if religion is the right name but atheism is certainly a theory or a belief

Its either:
1). A name people like for themselves and they have a little anti gods theory
2). A wrongly used name for people who give fuck all for religion.

I think I agree with you, some atheists also say that they only believe in themselves.. there is no theory they believe in they just live life the way they do.. and don't question their origin.

As I said, its really something to classify themselves with.

Still the word Satanism doesn't sound like music to my eyes modern or not..

I'm not a big fan of the word either, its just provoking people actually, and what bothers me the most is the fact that I know it will provoke people because their stupid enough not to look further then a word.

Because they are all around us.
We get to see/talk to them everyday.
And some of them feel the need to expres their "beliefs" or views to you when you tell them that you're a Modern Satanist.

If I think my religion would get me into trouble, I would rather just not say what I am. I don't hide it, and I always wear my Baphomet, but most people don't know what that means, and most of them don't ask. I'm fine with that, since I only believe in Satanism for my own good, and not that of others.

If the discussion of religion does comes up, I'm honest. Almost everyone will have the regular stereotypical ideas about it at first (you probably heard them all as well) but a little explanation is almost always enough to change their opinion about Satanism quite easily. And if not, have fun with their ignorance.
