| Dogs are great pets. But I feel I really get to know a species if I keep them as a pet, so I enjoy have many different animals. For example, my snails, I never found snails to be very interesting, but now that I have kept my apple snails for several months, I suddenly realise how amazing they are. I still would like a dog though! | |

| That's okay, to each his own.
I like big pets as well, but most large animals are outlawed here. You can keep horses, pigs, donkeys and cows, or a big dog, some large birds of prey are also legal. But other then that, it's considered to be too dangerous for humans.
And all primates are illegal to keep as pets in the Netherlands. So bears and gorillas are definitely out of the question. Boars on the other hand, are legal to keep, and they make great pets.

| I have no idea, I looked at the aquarium 2 days ago, and her eyes were black with white pupils, she was gasping and trying to swim, but obviously didn't know where she was going.
Yesterday I didn't see her anymore, so I assumed my other, predatory fishes killed her. But when I lifted the lid to feed them, I saw that she was hiding amongst the plants. Her eyes had turned white completely.
I have had hundreds of guppies in the past, and I have never seen this before…
I brought her back to the store. They think it's my water. It's toxic or something. They will give me a new guppy when I fix that. Apparently guppies have became a lot weaker since the time that I kept them, because they select the animals on their colours, not their health.

| Picture: As you can see, her right eye is slightly bigger, and white at the edges. A couple of days ago it was about two times the size it is now. | |

| I got 3 new platy fish for breeding. My old ones are getting old. (duh) And their 4 young that survived are not able to breed yet. I got a new breed, called victory: I use to have only this breed, the mickey mouse platy (named after the markings on their tail): Platies are the best fish ever. Easy to breed, survive in all sorts of water, survive on any kind of food, they don't attack my other animals, and they are always active and playful. | |
